Can I just say I am really digging as-much-as-you-want veg? This small measure of freedom feels fantastic. I'm already putting it to use. At Mixt Greens, they have these beautiful salads that I've had to take home, weigh out and stop myself from devouring the whole thing. Today, I get to eat it all! Obviously, it is without dressing and the ahi amount is within pcp rules.
Now if only we could have AMAYW reps for the pistol squats. I haven't done today's workout yet but those already look awful to me. And they sound that way too. I had a friend try it out while talking over the phone and he was struggling. Did I mention he was an All-American in his sport and still in great shape? Fantastic, eh? Legs are gonna love me today.
Pistol Squats call on your brain and 5 different muscle groups of the legs to work together. As you found, even athletes have trouble with them at first. Use the support chair and you'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteOooof that salad looks good. I want a Mixt Greens near me!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with pistol squats. I def couldn't manage what Patrick was doing in his photo. Maybe by day 89!!
Ditto on the AMAYW veggies! It was glorious to go nuts for lunch today and not worry about weighing any of it! In addition to my yummy sandwich with leftover garlic-y tilapia, tomatoes and fresh basil, I had a huge killer salad with arugula, spinach, snap peas and more tomatoes - should have taken pictures! The ahi in your photo looks soooo good.
ReplyDeletePistol squats are....interesting. When I did them this morning, I didn't know I needed to keep my heel on the ground. Having just read that in Patrick's email, I tried one - imPOSSible. Lookin' like a hardcore, BADASS week, all the way around!
crap, i was just gonna blog that the pistol squats didn't seem too bad. turns out, i prolly didn't do them correctly. i'm pretty sure my heel wasn't rooted to the ground. damn.
