Is anyone else mortified? Or feeling a little exposed? When I signed up for the pcp, I knew PUBLIC accountability would be a big part of meeting my goals. But still. It’s a little disconcerting having your photos available for all to see. I kinda like anonymity.
The first day wasn’t too bad. I don’t think I’ll be doing any of the workouts after bikram yoga anymore. Everything felt a little wobbly. Jumping rope isn't anything like elementary school. I whacked my legs on the 14th jump of each set. And I hit the cat on the very first swing.
Don't be shy! The pics are a great way to track your progress. One day very soon you'll go back and look at your Day 1 shot and think "WHOA, this shit works!".
ReplyDeleteI'm totally feeling the same way and the day 1 pictures aren't posted yet. Hopefully we can funnel these feelings into some really great results.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I had to jump outside because my two cats kept pouncing on the rope while I was jumping.
Yep, I know what you're feeling. I hated taking pictures the first couple of weeks, but now I'm liking it!
ReplyDeleteYes, Grace, me too! Especially after taking Day 1 photos yesterday...in a bikini. YIKES. Not looking forward to seeing those online!
ReplyDeleteYes, posting day 1 pictures was AWFUL! But if our group is a good example, in only 30 short days you'll be LOVING those day 1 pictures because you will soon look (and feel!) much, much better!
ReplyDeleteGrace, first off, welcome! And congrats for making a great investment in yourself. Realize that we're ALL "posting" public images of ourselves for complete strangers to see, every time we walk out the door. And channel those feelings of discomfort into a solid commitment to your Project-as you look back later on, you'll really appreciate how far you've come!
